It's October!

...can't believe it. However I do love me some crisp fall weather; it's invigorating.

My healthy living journey continues and with more of an umph. I'm doing something new, but practically the same as I was doing before; not eating the "whites" or drinking soda. I'm eating clean for the next few months and working out to a specific schedule and plan, and I am so excited for the results. It's been 3 days and I've already lost 3 lbs. :)

Working out has always been hard for me. I mean I enjoy resistance training, not a huge fan of cardio, but of course I always feel great afterward. It was hard because I never had a set thing of what I needed to do, or work on. I'd go for a walk, then come home and lift weights with my dumbbells, do some sit-ups on the exercise ball, maybe a few squats and I'd be done. But never felt like I was getting a really good workout. I HATE going to gyms! Always have! I hate the feeling when I think people are watching me work out, especially being overweight - I feel self conscious.

Well, with this new thing I'm doing I work out at the gym my work has provided the employees. I have a workout buddy and we go everyday and do our specific work out that has been lined out for us. We eat 6 smaller meals a day and at certain times. We also drink 3-4 liters of water a day.

It's hard not feeling completely full. I don't like to feel overly full, but I like to feel satisfied. But, since we're just 3 days into this I'm sure we'll get used to it. I still don't eat sugar or eat those other "whites" (flour, rice, pasta, potato, sugar). I feel good!

Yeah, yesterday I was eyeing these BYU mint brownies that were at my desk for everyone to enjoy - it was hard not to have one especially because I was feeling a bit hungry. But I didn't have one. Yay me!

I really am so excited to see the results of this. I'm excited to have more muscle! You might want to pre-order your tickets now to the gun show...just sayin'...:)
