Wow! Can't believe we're already in 2012. Amazing. I got all our Christmas decor put away the day before the New Year. No better way to start it then being in a freshly cleaned house. Ahhh...my favorite. I have to say that I'm very blessed to have a very clean husband who doesn't like clutter..even though at times I get annoyed when he says the kitchen is a "mess" when there is only 1 dish in the sink...I'm still grateful his likes things clean...because I like things clean...even though I'm not always first to jump on the cleaning wagon.
Anyway, so it's 2012. Can I tell you how excited I am for this year? I feel so excited to make this year the best ever. And I really mean that. I know I say every New Year how I have my resolution to lose weight, "and this is my year..." blah, blah, blah...but this year really is different.
It's different because I'm not starting off the year trying to lose weight...I already started that during the summer and have kept going. I'm not starting off the year thinking of what fad diet I can do, I've got that down with my healthier lifestyle. What I'm looking forward to this year is me...becoming ME. Inside this outer shell of mine is someone who has wanted to do so much but always felt restricted because of her weight...but not now...NOT NOW!
I have specific goals this year. I have my battle buddy, Brea, to help me achieve these goals and complete them with me. I have more confidence and just feel so much better. I feel healthy, I feel happy, I feel like I can do anything...and I CAN, AND I WILL.
Some thing I'm looking forward to are...
-Thanksgiving Point 5k
-Freedom 10k run
-Dirty Dash 5k
-Halloween 1/2 Marathon
-Provo 1/2 Marathon (maybe, as long as I have enough training)
-Red Riding Hood Ride
-Santa 5k Run
There may be more that I'll sign up for but for now those are the things that I'd like to do this year.
Now, I'm not a runner...never have been. But I have ALWAYS wanted to run. I have dreams about it. I really feel like the sky is the limit this year and I'm soooo looking forward to it, to continue on my healthy journey, and to finally be the ME I have always wanted to be and the ME that has always been inside of me.
HAPPY 2012!
